Stratopatent LLC has filed a complaint in the Eastern District of Texas alleging Wipro's Fashion Rental Solution violates six separate U.S. patents.

Stratopatent LLC filed a patent infringement complaint against Wipro Limited and Wipro Inc. on September 9, 2026. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, targets Wipro's cloud based software systems and IT services. As first reported by CourtListener, the complaint identifies six specific U.S. patents that Stratopatent claims Wipro has infringed: No. 11,087,392; No. 11,348,166; No. 10,902,510; No. 12,033,208; No. 11,354,622; and No. 11,307,149. ## The Accused Technology

The litigation centers on Wipro's Fashion Rental Solution (FRS), a pre-packaged cloud software product built on the SAP Business Technology Platform. According to the filing, this software allows fashion manufacturers to operate online rental models. Wipro markets the FRS as a way for companies to provide real-time visibility, pricing, and insurance protection within a subscription contract model. Stratopatent alleges that Wipro's making, using, selling, and importing of this software violates its patent protections. ## Wipro Operations in Texas

The complaint establishes venue in the Marshall Division by citing Wipro's significant physical presence in the state. Wipro Limited owns the Texas Technology Center in Plano, Texas. This facility houses engineering and consulting personnel who develop and support the technology solutions in question. Stratopatent's filing notes that Wipro employs over 1,400 people in Texas alone, with additional offices in Austin, Houston, and Dallas. Nationally, the company operates more than 40 facilities across 23 states, employing approximately 13,000 personnel in the U.S. ## Corporate Structure and Jurisdiction

Stratopatent is an Austin-based limited liability company. It named both Wipro Limited, based in Bengaluru, India, and its Delaware-incorporated subsidiary, Wipro Inc., as defendants. The complaint argues that Wipro Inc. acts as the primary U.S. operating arm and alter ego of the Indian parent company. Wipro Limited's 2025-2026 Integrated Annual Report shows its IT Services are organized into strategic units, with "Americas 1" specifically covering technology and software sectors in the United States. Stratopatent is seeking a jury trial. The case, 2:26-cv-00803-RWS, asserts that Wipro's distribution channels and strategic partnership with SAP facilitate the infringement by deploying the Fashion Rental Solution to retail customers throughout the district.
